Mallorca at the Spain Tourism Summit in Montreal

15/05/2026

Essentially Mallorca took part in the Spain Tourism Summit in Montreal, a professional event promoted by Turespaña to strengthen the international promotion of Spain’s tourism offer in the United States and Canadian markets.

During the event, Essentially Mallorca had the opportunity to present Mallorca to 45 travel advisors from both markets. The meeting allowed us to share a vision of the island that goes beyond the traditional idea of a Mediterranean destination.

Mallorca was presented as a destination defined by local product, culture, landscape and people. It is a place where luxury is not only understood through exclusivity, but also through authenticity, identity and connection with the territory.

Mallorca at the Spain Tourism Summit in Montreal

The Spain Tourism Summit in Montreal brought together tourism professionals with the aim of creating new commercial opportunities for Spanish destinations and companies in North America.

In this context, the presence of Essentially Mallorca helped reinforce the island’s positioning among a specialised professional audience.

It also allowed us to present Mallorca as a high value destination, capable of attracting travellers who seek authentic, carefully curated and memorable experiences.

The United States and Canada, two strategic markets

The United States and Canada are key markets for premium tourism. Their travellers show a growing interest in culture, gastronomy, sustainability, wellness and local experiences.

For this reason, the participation in Montreal was an important opportunity to present a deeper and more sophisticated Mallorca.

It was also a way to show an island connected to its territory, its local companies and a way of travelling based on quality.

An island defined by its local essence

At Essentially Mallorca, the international promotion of the island is built around what makes it unique: local product, heritage, landscape, hospitality and people.

This vision helps position Mallorca as a premium destination with its own identity.

It is not only about visiting the island. It is about discovering a Mediterranean way of life based on calm, authenticity and a sense of belonging.

Where true luxury is to belong

The participation of Essentially Mallorca in the Spain Tourism Summit in Montreal reinforces the association’s commitment to a more conscious, qualitative and locally connected tourism model.

Mallorca continues to position itself as a destination where true luxury is not only exclusivity.

It is the possibility of becoming part of a place, understanding its culture and living experiences that remain.
